Sales Lead (B2B and B2C)



Hello there, 


Is it possible, before uploading a candidate into Workable, or at the time, to ask candidates to submit a "Why Solstice" paragraph so that we can screen a bit better?


Many of the candidates coming in have very similar work experience (B2B/software sales for example), but it's hard to tell who might be actually interested in our opportunity (to work for a growing mission-driven startup) 


Here is the typical "Why Solstice" blurb we send:


"We are lucky to receive resumes from a number of qualified candidates. To move forward, please send me a short description of why you are interested in working for Solstice, and why you would be a great fit for the Director of Sales position. " 


Could you please ask this of candidates moving forward?

Tier4Group has been recruited to help our amazing, earth-friendly client land their next Sales Lead. 

·        Mid to Large size company experience (they want to learn a thing or 2 from you)

·        B2B and B2C expertise!

·        Ability to help significantly grow this already rapidly growing company by double or triple their current revenue size!

·        Have a passion for things like conservation, renewable energy, or just wish you could hug planet earth once in a while!

·        Leadership – the kind people actually like to follow! (Ask yourself, do people like me?)

·        Like working 100% remote with very little travel? (when it is actually safe to travel again!)

Responsibilities include:

·        Directly manage all members of Partnerships and Enrollments team (currently seven people); hold team accountable to individual and team goals, identify and remove blockers, conduct regular 1:1s and performance reviews

·        Maintain centralized sales operational processes and structure for the sales team, including scripts, collateral, training materials, playbooks, etc.

·        Own overall sales strategy and channel breakdown; analyze and refine effectiveness of existing sales and outreach approaches

·        Collaborate with Director of Revenue Operations on sales forecasts, staffing models, and tracking/analysis of Sales KPIs

·        Collaborate with other departments (including Marketing, Business Development, Customer Success) on cross functional initiatives (e.g. working with Marketing on creating a delightful customer experience)

·        Consistently monitor market research and customer feedback to identify areas of improvement and new opportunities


·        Bachelor’s degree preferred, but will accept 7+ years of proven relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

·        Proven track record of superior sales management, managing both inbound and outbound sales teams and cultivating talent

·        Proven track record of outperforming peers

·        Demonstrated ability to attract, hire, and retain star sales talent

·        Salesforce experience; and Hubspot experience a plus

·        Excellent ability to manage multiple project work streams and

·        Experience developing sales processes and structures from the ground up

·        Experience being held accountable for reaching set KPIs

·        Previous professional experience growing sales teams within a start-up environment and/or clean energy

·        Ability and willingness to travel, but not a whole lot! (when safe to do so)
