Tier4 Group’s client, a leader in the custom/digital application consulting space, has an immediate need for a Director of Sales, Digital Innovations. We are seeking a skilled Director of Sales to join a team which delivers customer software application development services. This person will oversee building, developing, and managing relationships with clients to ensure the best technical solutions possible are being provided. The Director of Sales, Digital Innovation Services will analyze client’s specific needs, requirements, and processes to create a true partnership.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Own responsibility for the overall growth and improvement of our existing customer partnerships and contribute innovative methods to acquire new partnerships
  • Build relationships with key customers and stakeholders by understanding business needs and providing support throughout the entire sales lifecycle
  • Drive strategic architecture implementations and guide our customers in their utilization of the company’s custom software solutions
  • Become an expert on the company’s comprehensive technical services portfolio and be able to demonstrate the benefits
  • Leverage your knowledge of modern cloud and software practices in a fast-paced, technology sales environment

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with preference given to candidates with educational focus/background in technology or engineering disciplines, preferred/not required
  • 7+ years of experience in IT Consulting, Technical Account Management, Solutions Architecture, and/or related role in technology sales with a focus on:
    • Selling highly complex custom application development (not SaaS products) and DevOps enablement/Delivery Teams as a Service. These are solutions where the company helps enable their customers to adopt DevOps principles and provide them with delivery teams to supplement their existing development.
    • Experience with Azure PaaS
    • Experience selling Microsoft services or experience partnering with Microsoft
    • Professional/Managed services experience
  • Understanding of modern IT methodologies such as software development, architecture, DevOps, Azure, etc.
  • Well-versed in Agile development methodology. Ability to communicate Agile/Scrum with the client
  • Demonstrated ability to interface and collaborate with customer stakeholders including Directors, VP’s, and C-Level
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close high-level accounts
  • Strong knowledge of current trends in the technology industry and their impact on businesses
  • Ability to convey our technical services portfolio in an effective manner to customers
  • Able to travel as needed (15-20% post Covid-19)
