.NET Developer

Our client is growing their Software Development team and adding a new headcount to meet the growing needs of the business. This position will work within an applications development and maintenance team and assist in providing technology solutions to address business needs by developing applications using mature programming methodologies and languages. Adherence to coding standards, procedures and techniques is considered a key attribute in this role. 

Location: Northeast Atlanta, GA (100% on-site post COVID-19)

Duration:  Permanent role with benefits and yearly bonus 

Job Duties:

Analysis and Design 

  • Assist in gathering requirements, analysis and design of new applications using the MOC software suite (.NET framework, SQL Server, client-side scripting languages etc.) based on the technical expertise at that moment
  • Participate in requirements elicitation, design process, design reviews and construction with peers as part of a project team
  • Adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques on all initiatives
  • Develop timelines to ensure that goals can be achieved in appropriate timeframes

Application, Development and Testing 

  • Develop software using technologies involved in MOC software suite (C# .NET 4.5+, ASP.NET WebForms, MS SQL Server, Entity Framework, WCF, WebAPI, HTML/DHTML, CSS, etc.) based on the technical expertise at that moment
  • Unit test all applications to ensure functionality and work closely with QA technical and test analysts on unit and functional testing 
  • Actively develop new applications in response to established software requirements specifications 
  • Identify problems or bottlenecks and work cooperatively to eliminate them 
  • Identify those who we impact and meet with them to create mutual success 
  • Prioritize work each day so that the most important tasks are completed 
  • Quickly address problems and conflicts in a productive manner

Support and Maintenance 

  • Perform support and maintenance on existing MOC application stack 
  • Develop understanding and participate in support and maintenance activities the client's enterprise architecture and framework (MIP, MDS etc.)  

Job Requirements 

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science OR equivalent work experience required

Knowledge and Experience 

  • 3+ years demonstrated experience with ASP.NET web applications leveraging Visual Studio 2013 / 2015 ( C# .NET 4.5+, ASP.NET WebForms, MS SQL Server, Entity Framework, WebAPI, WCF, HTML/DHTML, CSS, etc. ) 
  • Demonstrated understanding of WCF Web Services and RESTful web services utilizing the WebAPI framework
  • Strong SQL programming skills with MS SQL Server 2014 including the creation of complex database queries, & indexes
  • Experience in creating database tables, stored procedures, views, etc. in MS SQL Server
  • Understanding of build automation, continuous integration, and source code branching strategies
  • Exposure to Agile development environment
  • Experience with Azure DevOps Server (f.k.a. TFS) source code management tool
  • Excellent understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and related tools
  • Experience with business tier development on an enterprise software or commercial software project that involved large databases preferably involving multi user environments
  • Experience with development, testing & deployment of software solutions, including both user-interface and middle-tier processing
