Enterprise Engagement Manager - Salesforce CPQ

Our Client is a Platinum Salesforce Partner and provider of Quote-to-Cash implementation services. They help their customers with their enterprise Salesforce transformation needs through advisory, implementation, change management, custom configuration, and managed services.

The Way We Work

We leverage a “hybrid” implementation methodology whereby we approach solution blueprinting in a waterfall fashion as we design the solution to limit customization and maximize the use of out of the box functionality and platform tools.  Once the design is complete, we approach the build phase in an agile fashion as we demo the solution early and often to get feedback and buy-in from stakeholders and end-users.  No two projects are the same and we empower our team to drive projects forward while collaborating with our team of experts.  With less than 50 employees, we deliver enterprise-level solutions without the typical overhead and bureaucracy associated with larger consulting firms. 

The Role – Engagement Manager

Engagement Managers here are not your typical Project Managers. They are skilled communicators who exhibit strong executive presence while managing and running complex, enterprise and strategic technical projects. They are subject matter experts who participate in contract review, knowledge transfer and scoping. Our EM’s gather requirements and assist with the creation of project deliverables. It is not uncommon for them to provide hands-on configuration or customization of Salesforce. Our projects don’t go red. To be successful they establish themselves as a trusted advisor with client project stakeholders and executives. EM’s have those difficult conversations on timeline, budget, resources and formally communicate the outcomes of those meetings. During the project lifecycle, our EM’s also identify new opportunities to leverage all Salesforce technologies resulting in additional revenue streams. Within the company, Engagement Managers mentor junior members of the team, run lunch and learns and help develop best practices.

Our Recruitment Process

We know how tight the market is and aim to move through our stages as quickly and smoothly as possible. We’ll reach out to set up an initial phone screen. We want to get to know you, your experience, and your goals and how they align with our needs. Step two is a deep dive into your technical background. Be ready to speak specifics on your past projects, the why behind your designs, and technologies used. Step 3 is a chance to meet the team and demonstrate your technical and consulting skills on-site in face to face interviews, a practicum, and mock solutioning session.

Preferred Skills and Education

To be successful, the right candidate should have experience with Salesforce CPQ (formerly Steelbrick), Apttus, Zuora or other Quote-to-Cash CRM solutions and will have experience leading complex technical engagements and teams through end-to-end solution architecture design and implementation. The right candidate should have at least 5 years of external consulting experience including at least 3 years of CRM consulting. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year College or University and Salesforce Administrator Certification is required.
