Tier4 Group has been contracted by a leading hospital system undergoing a technology transformation to fill the roles of Provider Technology Advisor I and Provider Technology Advisor II (multiple positions available). Join a HIMSS Stage 7 healthcare system with a highly-optimized tech infrastructure including Cerner Smart Room technology. The IT team is also building a new highly collaborative office space designed with innovation in mind.

This role will be on-site in Ft. Myers/Naples area, Florida. All applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of healthcare experience as an LPN or RN and have 3 years of experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – Other duties may be assigned.

  • Consult, coordinate, support and plan information systems for enhanced adoption usage, focusing on the medical staff.
  • Troubleshoot and assist to resolve software and hardware problems to ensure patient care is safely delivered and medical staff experience is positive.
  • Evaluate existing systems and make recommendations to improve functionality.
  • Directly work with medical staff to educate and enhance usage for improved security, data accuracy and patient care.

The Provider Technology Advisor will utilize the EMR system to adequately communicate information to medical staff in an understandable and accurate training format to improve EMR utilization and provider experience. The Provider Technology Advisor will assist and support system upgrades and new implementations.

·         Exhibit strong communication skills by pro-actively responding to telephone calls, email, in-person, and automated requests for technical support.

·         Identify and escalate production-critical issues to appropriate IT personnel.

·         Use ticketing system to log and monitor tickets.

·         Participates in projects as deemed appropriate by management.

·         Evaluates and corrects issues involving configuration of applications.

·         Participate in Disaster Recovery planning, implementation, and testing.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Provider Informaticist II

·         Minimum requirements:

o   Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Business, Technology, Healthcare or related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in in healthcare required.  Registered Nurse in the State of Florida required.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·         Ability to solve complex problems in a timely manner.

·         Accurate with good attention to detail.

·         Ability to work under own initiative / self-motivated.

·         Experience working in a cross-functional team environment.

·         Experience with EMR systems.

·         Dexterity to learn new systems and programs rapidly.

·         Prefer experience in evaluation, testing and validation of healthcare EMR’s.

·         Prefer experience working as an intermediary between technical and non-technical teams.

·         Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS, Outlook, Visio).

·         Prefer experience on the development of video training materials.

 

Provider Informaticist I
·       Minimum requirements:
o Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Business, Technology, Healthcare, or related field with a minimum of 1 year experience in healthcare. Prefer 3 or more years of healthcare experience.
OR
o Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse, or Medical Assistant in the State of Florida with a minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare. Prefer 5 or more years of healthcare experience.
·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
·       Ability to solve complex problems in a timely manner.
·       Accurate with good attention to detail.
·       Ability to work under own initiative / self-motivated.
·       Experience working in a cross-functional team environment.
·       Experience with information technology optimization.
·       Dexterity to learn new systems and programs rapidly.
·       Prefer experience in evaluation, testing and validation of healthcare EMR’s.        
·       Prefer experience working as an intermediary between technical and non-technical teams.
·       Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS, Outlook, Visio).
